Hello, and welcome to the first installment of Legends of Mymanta session updater.
A quick explanation: I am terrible at keeping blogs, but I would like to add my two bits to the inter-webs on a semi-regular basis. Combining that with the fact that I enjoy reading about other people's reactions and thoughts regarding their D&D sessions, I figured this would be worth a shot at least.
At present, I am currently running approximately 3-5 sessions (depending on who you ask) and have several others under consideration. I play most often with a group of 11 people who are all very gifted role players. I give props to all of them for making session so very interesting.
I'll write up a more detailed explanation of my intentions and goals in the near future, but for now I'd like to just throw some stuff out there for the people that don't require it.
The Dark Ages
aka The Mortal Campaign
aka The PvP Session
Currently consists of three stories, respectively, which overlap in a number of ways including NPCs and world events which affect the population at large.
These three stories are:
The Lord of Eradication
A story based in the country of Triodin, and tells of the ascension of the great Reven Empire. The main characters are all soliders under the command of Reeve, the legendary general-turned-Emperor who, with a ferocious warrior's code and a mixture of racism and superstition, becomes the most powerful leader in all of Mymanta's long history. Soon all the world will know, and fear, his name. How far will Reeve push his forces to acheive his vision of a world free from tyranny and the threat of war?
The Army of Blood
A story based in the country of Goth Sorn, which tells of the gruesome war between the merciless Zennekron family and their former oppressors, the Briggari Empire. The main characters consist of priests (holy and unholy), rogues, warriors and serfs who band together under the blood stained flag of Vincent Zennekron, soon to be known as Vincent the Mad. Why do the Briggari's, whose power has faltered after generations of iron-fisted rule, fight so hard to keep the land of the Goths under their control?
The Well of Shadows
A story which follows the exploits of a mysterious guild known as the Moonlight Brigade. Led by the powerful but arrogant wizard Rooke, the main characters are all magic users who have been invited into Rooke's world, and who begin to discover that their gathering is anything but coincidence. What foul powers has Rooke unleashed upon the world, and how will the members of the Brigade cope with the tragedy which lays before them when they learn the secret of the guild's existence?
Those should be good enough to provide a base for my updates. I will go into much greater detail as I go along.
Good enough for a start. I sleep now.
